Madison stares at the lens with intensity. Plays her role well from 1863 Civil War reenactment. Prado Park, Ca.(They didn't smile back then).

Very nice portrait, I love the skin tones. Funny you should mention not smiling in the Civil War, I just took a class in "Photo History" and we went over Daguerreotypes photos, where the exposures took up to 10 minutes.
